store,a hospital,a shoes brushing spot and etc.
We are able to purchase there in a hotel
everything indispensable for our daily life."

Therefore, a lot of people come into a hotel
and go out of it all the time. Weddings,many
kinds of shows and exhibitions are often
hold there.So happen sometimes unexpected
events or troubles there.
The main characters in this comics are the
persons who have jobs in such a modern big
hotel "Platon" in Tokyo.They have their own
lifestyles,their own experiences in the past,
their own dreams in the future.
ISHINOMORI tells us life-designs of modern human beings more than 200
in this comics. The first episode named "Never check out" is the story
that an old poet dies from heart failure in the hotel, and leaves an
huge heritance.
Ninth episode is named "YUKIBOTARU( in the snow)." This is a emotional
story that an old man who had parted from his little daughter in the air
raid about 40 years ago meets again in the lobby of the hotel.
ISHINOMORI's line drawings and his ways to unfold stories are influenced
from his teacher TEZUKA OSAMU. But he is now one of the representative
comics-writers in Japan, and his "HOTEL" is one of the masterpieces in
the category of "Business World Comics."
